Our Story

Built on Vision. Strengthened by Scale.

Founded in 1996 by Mr. Rajesh Baid and Mr. Mukesh Baid, Konika Group began with a clear ambition: to build an elastic manufacturing company beyond conventional limits. From a five-member team and a 1,000 sq. ft. facility, the Group grew into an integrated manufacturer with 1,000+ professionals, over 3.5 lakh sq. ft. of manufacturing space, and specialised units across elastic categories.

Over the years, Konika expanded its portfolio across jacquard, knitted, woven, intimate wear, surgical and dyed elastics. Advanced machinery, a skilled workforce and a consistent focus on quality helped the Group become a trusted partner for buyers from concept and design through to final production.

30 Years of Narrow-Fabric Craft

1996
Konika Narrow Fab (now Konika Elastics) was established to manufacture plain woven, shoe, and surgical elastics.
2005
Mohit Tapes was established to manufacture polyester shoulder elastics.
2014
Konika Industries (now Konika Intima) was established to manufacture premium lingerie elastics. Started elastic tape dyeing unit.
2017
Konika Elastics Pvt Ltd entered into knitted elastics business with a dedicated new facility in Sachin Surat.
2021
Konika Tapes Pvt. Ltd. was established to manufacture premium jacquard elastics.
2024
pushed deeply into value added services by offering printed elastics/ silicon coating /debossing.
2026
Konika further expanded its capabilities by venturing into yarn dyeing and bonded garment manufacturing.
